This year Russell IPM has appointed an official committee consisting of five team members, who are going to be responsible for designing and executing ongoing team-building activities that will also be raising funds for charity.
Four charities have been selected after an email vote amongst employees: MIND, Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and Arthritis Research UK. Launching in June 2017, the first game will aim to engage all at Russell IPM by motivating them to win the jackpot of £250 donated by the company. To participate, everyone can buy an unlimited number of raffle tickets for £1.
30% of the price will go to a different charity each game month and the rest will be used to build up and replenish the jackpot which can go up to £500. Every raffle ticket drawn out of the pot each week gives its owner the opportunity to pick a card from a deck securely pinned in a lockable display cabinet. Every card brings a monetary reward: every card from 1 to 10 earns a £1 its value in pounds (e.g. a number 8 wins £8), every face card wins £10 and the only Joker in the game wins the jackpot.
This amusing, rewarding and altruistic game was suggested by Company Accountant Simon McGrath and besides him, will be overseen by Marketing Assistant Amanda Mountford, Human Resources Manager Andrea Gosling, Receptionist Carol Dean and IT Specialist Kieran Wyatt. Russell IPM would like to thank all of its employees for their continuous support of its charity-orientated activities and to wish them good luck in the game.
