Hide Beetle, Dermestes maculatus

The Hide Beetle are common pests in domestic kitchens as well as factories and supermarkets.

As the name suggests, this beetle consumes things such as meat and fish and lay their larvae inside. The females can lay anything between 200 and 900 eggs in a lifetime. The beetles are 5-12mm in length and have hairs all over their body.
