Why use Fytomax?
Fytomax is a potent larvacide that affects the different feeding stages of the insect. The primary function of the active ingredient, azadirachtin, is to stop larvae from feeding by inhibiting the insect’s normal feeding mechanism and subsequent intake of food.
Azadirachtin also acts as an insect growth regulator (IGR) to cause malformation and mortality. In combination with the neem extract, the azadirachtin works synergistically to result in oviposition repellence, egg sterility and inhibition of exoskeleton synthesis in the insect, providing complete control against crop pests.
Neem oil and other plant extracts
Fytomax has undergone a number of field trials to test its efficacy as a control product. Results demonstrated that application of Fytomax significantly reduced pupal maturation without harming beneficials. Additionally, Fytomax was deemed safe for application at any time up to plant harvest and has no preharvest interval.
