Safestore Easyread Pitfall Traps Overview

The safestore easyread pitfall trap is made up of a clear plastic trap with preloaded glue inside the base. The traps are prepared to order, and come with a choice of pheromones for species-specific monitoring.

Dispensers are carefully chosen depending on pheromone to enable the most effective stable release. Either in a tube, on a dosed vial/ring or rubber septa.

Where to place / Distance

Place flat on the floor or surface.
In a small kitchen or storage unit, one trap is sufficient to cover the area.
In larger factories or warehouse, place one trap every 100 square metres.
When trying to pinpoint infestations place more traps around fixtures and equipment.

Replacement

Replace every 6-8 weeks unless the trap is full earlier.

Storage

The traps should be stored in a cool dry place for a shelf life of 12 months.
The lures should be stored in their packaging, in a cool dry place for a shelf life of 6 months.
If longer storage is required store the lure in a fridge or freezer.
