Overview
Tobaguard LS/EE targets Lasioderma serricorne, the cigarette beetle and Ephestia elutella, the tobacco moth. These pests cause serious damage to facilities handling dry plant produce including tobacco, both in the refined cigarette forms and the coarse unprocessed forms. The cigarette beetle is also a minor pest of oilcake, oilseeds, cereals, dried fruit, sage, flour and other animal products. Regular monitoring of the Tobaguard traps makes early detection of infestation possible. Monitoring for pests should be at the forefront of pest management programmes, as early pest diagnosis will increase the likelihood of minimising damage and gaining maximum control.
