Tobaguard LS/EE targets Lasioderma serricorne, the cigarette beetle and Ephestia elutella, the tobacco moth. These pests cause serious damage to facilities handling dry plant produce including tobacco, both in the refined cigarette forms and the coarse unprocessed forms. The cigarette beetle is also a minor pest of oilcake, oilseeds, cereals, dried fruit, sage, flour and other animal products. Regular monitoring of the Tobaguard traps makes early detection of infestation possible.
