Black Carpet Beetle, Attagenus unicolor

The Black Carpet Beetle is 2-5mm in length and black in colour as the name suggests.

Their larvae is known feeds on animal products such as wool, silk, dried meat and leather. As the larvae grows they malt and cast skins can be found within these products. The beetle roll up and tuck their head away when they are disturbed.
